Common questions

How do I create a workout program?
Go to the Workouts tab, tap the + button, and add exercises with sets, reps, weight targets, and rest timers. You can also duplicate an existing program and modify it.

How does Apple Health sync work?
When you finish a workout, it is automatically saved to Apple Health. The app requests permission to write workouts and read calories burned and heart rate. You can manage permissions in Settings → Health.

Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Export Data. You can export your full workout history as a CSV file.

How do I switch between kg and lbs?
Go to Settings and tap the weight unit toggle. All weights throughout the app update immediately.

What does the Live Activity show?
During an active workout, the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show your current exercise, elapsed time, and set progress. This works without opening the app.

Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to any server. Your data is included in your regular iCloud device backup.

How are personal records detected?
Iron Workout automatically compares each completed set against your history. When you lift more weight or perform more reps than ever before for an exercise, it is flagged as a new PR.
